Fellow members of the Glattfelder family:

The 112th annual family reunion will be held at Heimwald Park, Glatfelters, Pa., on Saturday July 29 and Sunday July 30. The park address is 6581 Glatfelters Station Road, Seven Valleys, Pa.17360.

Please park in the parking lot of the York County Heritage Rail-Trail. Volunteers from the Seven Valleys Fire Police will be operating shuttle vans to transport you to the park.

Please note: Per the Charter of Incorporation granted by the Commonwealth in 1910 Heimwald Park is to be alcohol-free. Kindly respect our governing document by not bringing alcoholic beverages into the park.

The theme of this year's reunion is "Honoring the family of Casper's brother John Peter"

On Saturday July 29, the park will be open for picnicking beginning at 4:00 PM. While there will be board and lawn games available, no formal program is planned until the arrival of the Brodbecks Band at 5:00 PM. At that time some of York County's finest foods will be served: Sechrist hot dogs (with optional sauerkraut), fresh Brenneman chow-chow, soft pretzels and Carmen's ice cream. Note that we are now charging $5.00 per person for the picnic. If you plan to attend, please make your reservations. Mail your reservations no later than July 10 so that the caterers will have time to prepare the proper amount of food.

On Sunday July 30, registration will open at 11:30 AM. The catered meal will begin at 12:30 PM. We ask you to be in the park and seated by that hour. We will be using the same caterer as last year serving a broasted chicken lunch. Anyone who is able is encouraged to bring something to be placed on the family dessert table.

The charge for the catered meal remains $13.00 for adults and $9.00 for children 6 - 12, the same price as the past two years. Your meal tickets will be in your registration packet upon arrival. Please note: you MAY bring your own lunch, and NOT order a catered meal. Registration is still required.

We will have for sale many souvenir items both days, including family sweatshirts, polo shirts, stationery, 100th Reunion books, and various DVDs. Save on shipping by buying at the Reunion!

(Korea and Viet Nam)

Fellow members of the Glattfelder family,

The 111th annual family reunion “Welcome Home! Glattfelders in the Cold War” was held at Heimwald Park on Saturday, July 30 and Sunday, July 31, 2016. There were about 150 in attendance on Saturday in spite of the rain, and between 75 and 100 in attendance on Sunday. The weather was typical for July.

This year marks the final program in the series on Glattfelders in war, recognizing Glattfelders in the Korean and Vietnam wars.

The Reunion Program in pdf format is available by clicking the link.

The Glattfelders in wars theme continued at the 2016 reunion with the Korean and Vietnam wars. Lila Fourhman-Shaull, from the York County History Center and a Glattfelder relative, and historical committee member Jean Robinson spoke about the wars. Lila provided a transition from World War II to the Korean and Vietnam wars for York County.
